Earlier this year, we asked POZ Personal members what we could do to make the site better. We’d like to thank the hundreds of you who made suggestions.
Based on your feedback, we have overhauled the POZ Personals search. The changes include:
Show distance in miles in the results
All searches now show how far away the returned members are in miles. The default for calculating the distance is your location. Please make sure your city/state/zip code information is correct. You can still also sort by options like “Last logged in.”
More targeted searches by using both city and ZIP code information
You can now enter both your city and zip code information to get more accurate results based on your exact location.
Allow for radius searches
Members asked for the option to search by radius. Now you have the option to select a radius around your preferred city/zip code. The options include 5, 10, 50 and 100 miles. To activate the radius option, first select a city and/or zip code. Premium members can save the search and get daily email reports with anyone new who matches your search criteria.
New travel search option
Going on a trip? Want to find members near your hotel? You now have a “Travel search” option that will calculate member distance from your search criteria. To activate, first select a city and/or zip code, and then click the box next to “Travel search.”
