Paul Bellman, MD, has sent a letter to his patients informing them he is retiring from his private practice at the end of this year, according to the Petrelis Files blog. He has cared for countless people living with the virus, from well-known activists to everyday patients, in the New York City area for decades. His retirement is the latest example of longtime providers deciding to move on, which poses challenges to longtime survivors.
