A single intravaginal swab (SIS) is a DIY health check for down there. A new Johns Hopkins University study showed that an SIS can detect STDs as accurately as standard tests, including dreaded Pap smears. Even better, women who “self-swab” get results as precise as those of docs. Although SIS is only in early stages of study, at-home availability could certainly expedite diagnosis of vaginal buggers.
