Yesterday (2004)
One of the few films that depicts the personal toll of the AIDS crisis on families in Africa, Yesterday tells the story of an impoverished young mother with an unbreakable spirit determined to see that her growing daughter receives an education. After her AIDS diagnosis, the mother wants nothing more than to see her daughter attend her first day of classes and find a better life for herself.
