27000@25: When We Were Boys with Erasure and Jimmy Somerville

Erasure and Jimmy Somerville lend their world-famous musical talent to 27000@25: When We Were Boys, an unique music video with a powerful HIV anti-discrimination message (adapted into 7 languages). The video turns back the clock to 1990s London and PRIDE 1996 when CRUSAID released 27,000 red balloons for everyone with HIV in the UK. The Release For Life was accompanied by a film shown from the main stage to 160,000, with Jimmy Somerville, Holly Johnson and Sheila Smith performing its music only score. The video follows a very young gay man 1990s in London dealing with his HIV+ diagnosis. Never before seen in this new 25th anniversary version, the 2021 version streams worldwide exclusively on the official Mute Records youtube.com/erasureinfo channel from 1st December for a strictly limited time only. Andy Bell comments, “Apart from being very close to my heart, it is also of historical importance and significance from a worldwide human rights perspective.” Trailer follows shortly!
