2017 Biomedical HIV Prevention Summit
The Biomedical HIV Prevention Summit is in its second iteration slated for December 4-5, 2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana. We are changing the conference’s name from the National HIV PrEP Summit to the Biomedical HIV Prevention Summit. NMAC changed the name because we believe it is the combination of PrEP and Treatment as Prevention (TasP) that will build the pathways to ending the epidemic
The conference’s logo represents a collaboration between community-based organizations (CBOs), health departments (HDs), national organizations and NMAC. The meeting brings together HIV leaders to discuss and learn about Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and other biomedical HIV prevention interventions.
NMAC thanks Gilead for recommitting their support of this meeting. The intent of BHPS is not to argue the science of PrEP and Biomedical prevention. Instead, it will focus on the conversations, implementation and infrastructure needed to turn the promise of the science into an effective community-level HIV prevention option.
