A statewide non-profit organization established to facilitate collaboration among its members and to ensure that quality, non-duplicative HIV treatment and prevention services are available throughout Delaware. Membership includes HIV/AIDS service providers, civic leaders, public health professionals, representatives of private business, and persons living with HIV disease, operating several statewide working committees, which are governed by a duly elected Board of Trustees.
To better the lives of Delawareans with HIV through service coordination, community participation, and consumer involvement.
To consider, evaluate, and determine the potential impact of significant public or private policy issues relating to the HIV/AIDS community that are identified or brought to its attention;
To provide guidance and recommendations to other Consortium Committees, the Consortium Board of Trustees, elected officials, and the general public via position statements;
To devise strategies and action plans for legislative initiatives when appropriate;
To collaborate with and assist the Executive Director in his/her role as primary spokesperson for all Consortium external communications.
