On behalf of everyone living with HIV/AIDS, please consider a rephrasing of “Trump and his aides” when reporting on politics and world events. Many people erroneously hear it as “Trump and his AIDS” and, while the AIDS community is a pretty damn accepting group of people, it’s hard to make any room in the tent for Trump and the false association of your confusing choice of words is irreparably damaging our brand and self-image.
Please issue a clarification before pivoting to a more palatable phrasing.
