I know what you’re thinking, why is Dave blogging about Bishop Gene Robinson. It’s not very POZ worthy, and after being brought up Roman Catholic, I now consider myself an atheist. But gay is who I am, it’s literally in my genes or ’jeans’...or Bishop Gene?! Whatever, I just couldn’t resist this public forum, and consequently no one else has blogged about it either. Mainly the report was for my parents, they’re in enjoying their ’golden years’ (my mother demanded that I don’t state her age,) my father was probably watching football during Bishop Robinson prayer, and they hardly ever search the web. I usually have to call my parents before I send a link--you’re getting the idea, huh.

Sunday Janurary 18th, Washington DC, Lincoln Memorial Concert
The event was air exclusively by HBO (sister station of CNN, and ultimately owed by TimeWarner.) This was Bishop Robinson’s moment and he intended to open the concert with a prayer. (It’s seemed like a nice prayer; God love everyone type-of-thing; the Bishop wasn’t streaking on stage; voicing any profanities; or French-kissing his partner.) But why was HBO’s live televise event postponed five minutes, just in time for Bishop Robinson to end he pray and leave the stage? (A few shows on HBO include: Six Feet Under, with an interracial gay couple; The Sopranos?, sex, drugs, guns, etc.; Big Love; polygamy; and the Madonna Confessions Tour, enough said.) In addition, the JumboTrons (which previously had been airing a ShamWow commercial) were ’temporarily shutdown’ for the same long of time--hmmm.

Additionally, I’ve posted a 365gay.com blog writing by John Corvino (he writes so much better than me.)

Now I really don’t believe in God.
