The largest provider of HIV/AIDS care in New York City has been renamed for the late activist Spencer Cox, according to a statement by St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, which runs the program. The Spencer Cox Center for Health, formerly known as the Center for Comprehensive Care, serves more than 8,000 people in three Manhattan locations. Since 2009, the center expanded its services to include HIV-negative people living with chronic illnesses.
