A public forum in Florida about offering an abstinence-plus sex education curriculum, which includes safer-sex messages, has sparked a debate among parents, teachers and students, The Dayton Beach News-Journal reports. Currently, Flagler County students are taught abstinence-only sex ed. The proposed abstinence-plus policy would teach students about contraceptives, sexually transmitted infections and sexuality.
