Although the manufacturer of the first rapid in-home HIV test is not promoting its use to screen sex partners, 70 percent of people in the company’s clinical trials said they would either definitely or very likely use it that way, The New York Times reports. Made by OraSure Technologies, the OraQuick In-Home HIV Test is now available online and in stores nationwide. At a cost of $39.99, the single-use test is administered with an oral swab and gives results in 20 to 40 minutes.
