New York City now requires all household members living with people getting benefits from its HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) to participate in a work or training program, The New York World reports. A city spokesperson said the move brings HASA into compliance with state rules. A spokesperson for VOCAL-NY, an HIV/AIDS advocacy group, said HASA clients may be penalized for what other household members may or may not be doing.
