U.S. Representatives Barbara Lee (D–Calif.), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R–Fla.) and Jim McDermott (D–Wash.) have relaunched the Congressional HIV/AIDS Caucus for the 113th Congress, according to a joint statement. The caucus will focus on domestic and international programs, as well as research on a vaccine and a cure. The caucus was founded in 2011 as a bipartisan and bicameral group committed to ending the epidemic.
