Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden have pledged $750 million to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, according to a joint statement by the countries with the United States. The pledge represents an increase of more than $150 million from the Nordic countries to the Global Fund. The statement includes other major areas of mutual concern, including global development, climate change and human rights.
