Goodluck Jonathan, president of Nigeria, will cochair efforts to raise funds this year for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, according to a Global Fund statement. Other cochairs include United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, other heads of state and leaders from the private sector. Nigeria is one of 47 countries accessing Global Fund support through its new funding model.
