The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has uncovered evidence that two international suppliers of mosquito nets committed serious financial wrongdoing in Cambodia, according to a Global Fund statement. As a result, the Global Fund suspended its contracts with those suppliers. This is the latest effort by the group to increase its own financial accountability and transparency. The nets prevent malaria, an infection that increases the spread of HIV in the body.
