A total of 2,248 people with HIV/AIDS on antiretroviral treatment in Ghana have stopped taking their medications to seek help at prayer camps and from traditional healers, according to a Ghana AIDS Commission workshop and reported by Ghana Web. Further, they only returned to a hospital after their cases had worsened. The workshop gathered traditional healers, religious leaders, civil society organizations and health providers. The participants agreed that all sides need to find ways to work together.
