Here’s how to get it: Several cities and regions across the nation will be hosting Dining Out For Life (#DOFL) events at restaurants to raise money for local HIV organizations. The next city to serve up HIV awareness and fundraising along with delicious meals and drinks is Milwaukee on Thursday, September 12.

You can view a list of Milwaukee’s participating restaurants on DiningOutForLife.com. Funds raised that day will support Vivent Health and its food pantry. “Dining Out For Life isn’t just about raising funds; it’s about rallying communities and spreading awareness,” said Cory Onward, president of the Dining Out For Life International board, in a DOFL press release earlier this year when events first kicked off April 25. This is the 34th year of Dining Out For Life. It kicks off annually the last Thursday of April, considered national Dining Out For Life day, but cities participate throughout the year. Many take advantage of the autumn season. Here’s a list of upcoming events:

There, you’ll also find a list of participating restaurants (and what proportion of their proceeds they’re donating) as well as which HIV organizations will benefit. You can also search hashtags such as #DiningOutForLife, #DineOutEndHIV, #DOFL and #DineOutGiveBack.

Over 2,400 restaurants are participating, according to the DOFL press release. The effort will be supported by 4,100 volunteers and 300,000 diners.
