Oscar-winner and United Nations Messenger of Peace Charlize Theron recently met with South African President Jacob Zuma and UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibe to discuss the challenges facing young people in South Africa, especially HIV/AIDS, UNAIDS reports. The issues discussed include the vulnerability of young women and girls to HIV in the South Africa, the need for Africa to become more self-sufficient in producing antiretrovirals and the progress the country has made against the virus.
