POZ’s Bacharach To The Future fund-raiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS took place Monday December 1, 2008 at New World Stages in New York, NY. Features performances by Liz Callaway, Billy Porter and John Pagano and appearances by POZ founder Sean Strub and POZ editor-in-chief Regan Hofmann.
The production honored music legend Burt Bacharach, the composer of That’s What Friends Are For, the pioneering recording that benefited The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) in 1985. Promises, Promises, Mr. Bacharachs award winning musical, opened on Broadway forty years ago December 1, 1968.
