Saturday, October 5, will mark the first AIDS Cure Day, according to a statement by the AIDS Policy Project, which launched this new awareness day. The goal of this annual event is to push for a cure for AIDS in this generation. The AIDS Policy Project will be organizing and facilitating teach-ins on cure research and activism across the country and worldwide. The group will be offering a teach-in guide and other support materials, as well as an online webinar and a volunteer hotline on the day of the event.
