The CDC’s annual National STD Prevention Conference in March caught us up on sex bugs’ status. Worst news: Gonorrhea rates rose by more than 20 percent in two-thirds of U.S. cities. Best news: Most syphilis rates keep on falling. But gay men are in hot water, with a rising tide of gonorrhea, syphilis, HPV and, of course, HIV. Young women are also in over their heads with increasing levels of chlamydia, gonorrhea and HPV.
