Exercise helps prevent or control diabetes by keeping glucose from accumulating in your blood. Too fatigued, busy or broke to do the gym workout thing? Don’t just sit there:
1. Drop the elevator: Climbing up—and down—stairs is great exercise.
2. Take a brisk, half-hour walk at least once every few days.
3. Get up and boogie to the radio, a CD or your inner rapper.
4. Lift some light dumbbells while watching the dumbbells on TV.
