Leaders at the XVIII International AIDS Conference (IAC) in Vienna are calling for an end to the lack of access to scientifically proven interventions that prevent HIV cases in at-risk populations, according to an IAC statement. Leaders are supporting evidence-based HIV prevention and calling the lack of access a violation of human rights. HIV criminalization, stigma and discrimination were cited as obstacles to advancing public health.
