It is now legal for Delaware residents with certain serious health issues, such as HIV/AIDS, to use medical marijuana, according to the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) blog. The drug must be purchased from state-licensed “compassion centers,” as it remains illegal to grow one’s own. The new policy takes effect July 1. This will make Delaware the 16th state, along with the District of Columbia, to legalize medical marijuana.
