Daniel Allen, an HIV-positive man originally charged with bioterrorism and assault after allegedly biting his neighbor during an altercation, has reached a plea agreement, The Detroit News reports. In June, a judge dropped the bioterrorism charge but left two felony assault charges. On November 3, Allen pleaded no contest to one felony charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and has received probation for 11 months. The felony charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault if Allen complies with the terms of his probation.
