It’s no secret that the HIV epidemic is raging in the South, especially in the states that refuse to expand Medicaid by accepting federal funding. But hard-hearted legislators can’t stop the good-hearted Elton John AIDS Foundation and Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, which donated a combined $330,000 to five organizations fighting the HIV/AIDS crises in the South. Most of the groups focus on the needs of LGBT people of color, a group especially vulnerable to the epidemic. Thanks, EJAF and ETAF!
