When POZ was born in 1994, we were attending more funerals than birthdays for HIV-positive people. Today, thanks to the brave activism of many people living with the virus and the development of lifesaving treatments, birthdays are far more plentiful. Including a big one for POZ itself!

As we mark our 15th year, POZ would like to thank each and every one of you who made our journey to this day so wonderful. And, while we would love to spend the rest of our lives with you, we have a special birthday wish: the end of AIDS. Now that would certainly be cause for celebration.

But until then, as we blow out our candles, let’s hope our wishes for long, healthy lives come true.
