China’s new AIDS Action Plan for reducing HIV transmission and AIDS deaths involves placing condom machines in hotels and other public places, China.org.cn reports. By 2015, the plain aims to cut new HIV cases by 25 percent and AIDS deaths by 30 percent from their 2010 totals. Other features of the plan include HIV testing and treatment, intervention among high-risk groups, and mandatory HIV/AIDS education at all “leader training” and administrative schools.
