If you are a transgender person living with HIV—or if you know someone who is—you should be aware of an online survey designed by Positively Trans (T+) to “examine the legal and policy landscape as experienced by transgender women and men living with HIV/AIDS in various states and regions.”

The Transgender Law Center launched T+ to promote resilience and strengthen leadership in the HIV-positive trans community. Cecilia Chung, senior strategist at the center, developed and directs T+.

The survey is available in both English and Spanish. Participants can enter a drawing to win one of eight $250 Visa gift cards.

The survey findings will help assess and prioritize the needs and advocacy efforts of trans people living with HIV.

As T+ explains in the introduction to the questionnaire: “We would like to hear the experiences and opinions of transgender people living with HIV in the U.S. regarding health care, employment, violence, housing, and family support. Your answers will help determine the information, service, and advocacy priorities regarding these important issues. We will not share any identifying information about you or any other survey participant to anyone.”
