Tonsils May Help Transmit HIV
A new analysis from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in Maryland claims the tonsils are more susceptible to HIV infection than any other oral area. Although the risk of contracting HIV through oral sex is low, the researchers believe their findings may help prevent transmission between HIV-positive mothers and babies they breastfeed.
