Effective January 6, Suzette Moses-Burton will lead the Global Network of People Living With HIV (GNP+) as executive director, according to a GNP+ statement. Since 2002, she has been the HIV/AIDS program manager for the island of St. Maarten in the Caribbean. Moses-Burton has been living with HIV since 1993. She became the first chair of the Caribbean Regional Network of Persons Living With HIV/AIDS in 1996. She also co-founded Helping Ourselves in a Positive Environment (HOPE), an HIV/AIDS support group, in 1999. In her most recent role, Moses-Burton also was a member of the Caribbean Coalition of National AIDS Programme Coordinators.
