Seattle Church to Minister to People 'Infected With AIDS'

A mega-church in Seattle that allows LGBT people to attend services but not become members has moved to a new location, according to the Think Progress blog. In a statement, the lead pastor Tim Gaydos explains that the Mars Hill Church chose to relocate not only to serve the downtown business community but also to minister “to those who are infected with AIDS” in the Capitol Hill area. Since the church has not affiliated itself with Lifelong AIDS Alliance, a Seattle–based advocacy group, the Think Progress blog questions the church’s real intentions for the move.
