Robert M. Malow, PhD, director of the AIDS Prevention Program at Florida International University (FIU) and founder of the HIV Listserv, has died of cancer, according to a statement on the listserv. He was considered a leader in the field of HIV behavioral prevention research. Launched in 1997, the listserv has about 15,000 users around the world. Malow personally selected most of the listserv content, including current HIV literature and news. No determination has been made if and how distribution of the listserv will continue. A scholarship fund in his memory will be established at FIU. A memorial at FIU is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27. Please call Maggie Pagan at 305.348.5344 to RSVP for the memorial.
