Paris Hilton Says Most Gay Guys 'Probably Have AIDS'

Paris HiltonIn an audiotape, Paris Hilton is heard perpetuating the myth that most gay men have AIDS, reports. A New York City taxi driver who had the Hilton Hotels heiress and a gay male friend in his backseat recorded the audiotape.

Hilton says, “Gay guys are the horniest people in the world. They’re disgusting. Dude, most of them probably have AIDS…. I would be so scared if I were a gay guy. You’ll, like, die of AIDS.” Her comments were in response to her gay male friend, who earlier was describing Grindr, a dating mobile app for gay men.

A statement by a Hilton spokesperson said, “The conversation became heated after a close gay friend told her in a cab ride a story about a gay man who has AIDS and is knowingly having unprotected sex…. It was not her intent to make any derogatory comments about all gays.”

UPDATE: In a statement to GLAAD, Hilton offers her apology: "I am so sorry and so upset that I caused pain to my gay friends, fans and their families.... It is the last thing that I would ever want to do and I cannot put into words how much I wish I could take back every word. HIV/AIDS can hurt anyone, gay and straight, men and women. It's something I take very seriously and should not have been thrown around in conversation."

I am sick to my backteeth of this inane celebrity claptrap and the lame apology afterwards when managers, recordcompanies, agents, pc companies have instructed the offenders to do some damagecontrol. Fact is, it is often too late (count to 10 before you open your ignorant mouths) and too little. Stick to what you guys do best (acting, singing, dancing, being) and do not talk to the press for you have nothing to say and nobody is interested in your offensive clueless trite anyway.

Based on Paris Hiilton's past behavior, I would have to say that her apology is disingenuous. If she were truly sorry she would not have made these comments to begin with.

Ms. Hilton should learn to refrain from speaking when in public. With the lifestyle she lives, when was the last time she got tested.

kj, simpsonville, 2012-09-23 00:13:32
She is and will be forever spoiled rotten for the rest of her life. And she can pretty much say what she wants and not knowing that words are effecting us. She don't know what looking before leaping means. Or thinking before speaking. Just a Barbie Dumb Doll that rich.

When did she ever care what she says?

stev, Chicago, 2012-09-21 08:00:18
People in glass houses...

David Cardinal, Brisbane, 2012-09-21 02:13:23
How many more stupid things does she have to say before she's disinherited?

yvonne2012, , 2012-09-20 23:35:11
People still care what Paris has to say? Really?

Lightone, Orlando, 2012-09-20 22:19:00
Paris? When was the last time you got tested? It can happen to anyone. Straight or Gay! Ignorance is not a crime so you are free to go!

Andy, , 2012-09-20 20:52:30
Clutch the pearls, how DARE she suggest that gay men who use a GPS for anon sex are poz! But seriously, to presume anything but this obvious fact is to make HIV something other than a virus that is spread through sexual contact. This is more offensive than her poor, bad private, words. The fact that so much of the poz media is crucifying her for saying the obvious is also offensive. Should she defer to the delusion that only "1/17" of gay men are poz? Pretending that no one is poz worse.

WTF, Toronto, 2012-09-20 20:49:33
At least gay men with aids/hiv have contributed more to society (free medical volunteers) that has dramatically increased our knowledge of immunology and has made life for millions of people better. What has she done for society?

ZOMG! this is, like, totally hhhHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUggggee! seriously, does ANYONE on Earth care what this seven-fold accursed ... thinks or says about anything whatsoever?

danny, florida, 2012-09-20 17:30:46
Paris I have lost what little respect I had for you. For you to make such a comment on all gays have aids just proves how uneducated you are and serve no purpose in this world .you should be ashamed . I have mercy on your soul the day you become diagnosed with an incurable disease.

Elizajane, , 2012-09-20 15:22:49
SO sad, but I am not surprised. She is not the brightest bulb in the pack for sure...I guess the wealthy don't get any better sex ed in school than the rest of us poor slobs.
