Friday, September 27, is the sixth annual National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NGMHAAD). This awareness day seeks to remind men who have sex with men (MSM) that they remain disproportionately affected by and at high risk for the virus. Events to support this awareness effort are scheduled nationwide. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, MSM account for about half of all people living with HIV in the United States and more than half of all new U.S. HIV cases each year.
