A judge has reopened the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case of the National Association of People With AIDS (NAPWA) to allow the defunct group to sell its trademark for the name “National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day” (NGMHAAD) to Health HIV, the Washington Blade reports. The purchase price was $3,000. Health HIV provides AIDS education, capacity building, research and advocacy. The court had closed the case earlier this year ruling that more than $750,000 owed to creditors could not be paid.
