Young gay and bisexual men raise their risk of HIV exposure and infection by using methamphetamine, according to research published in Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine and reported by HealthDay News. Researchers looked at men ages 12 to 24 because they believed most previous studies had focused on older men. The data show that, compared with non-users, these young meth users were less likely to use condoms during every sexual encounter and were more likely to have two or more sex partners in the past 90 days, have sex with an injection drug user and have sex with someone who has HIV.
