Americans for Safe Access (ASA), a medical marijuana advocacy group, is hosting its second annual National Medical Cannabis Unity Conference, according to an ASA statement. The event takes place in Washington, DC, from April 5 to 7.

The conference will include panels on the history of botanical medicines and the future of regulation and product safety, as well as the state medical marijuana laws. Attendees will include patients and advocates, as well as lawyers, doctors, policymakers and other stakeholders.

Conference sponsors include the National Cannabis Industry Association, United Food and Commercial Workers, Nuvilex, 420 Archive, Remedy Compassion Center of Maine, Bay Area Safe Alternatives, HempMeds and SPARC of California.
