Matthew McConaughey to Lose 30 Pounds for HIV Role

Actor Matthew McConaughey plans to drop 30 pounds by mid-September when he begins shooting the HIV-themed The Dallas Buyer’s Club, the Daily Mail reports. The movie tells the story of Ron Woodroof, an HIV-positive heterosexual electrician who died in 1992 after illegally smuggling HIV drugs not approved in the United States. Also starring two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank, the drama is due out in 2013.
