I've noticed fat loss in my face, my cheeks are starting to look hollow. I have been on the same coctail for over six years, this has never happend before. Could the Meds. be making this happen now? I am on Combivir, Noravir, and Invirase.

I am a 48 y/o tranny.. I should say that I am trying to transition without the benefit of med supervision. I was a reg. nurse. Is there a detailed way to transition, relatively safely? At one point I was able to obtain ethyinyl estradiol in a rather high dose (2mg), and I supplemented that with Megace, a progestin preparation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Same here i have the buffalo hump on my neck and the fat accumlating around my mid section very fast. Im also getting breast bigger than a woman. I have tried it all eating healthy excersing alot and drinking plenty of water.. Nothing seem to help. My body shape is make me feel ashame to go out. Any suggestion please

d4t and AZT have been long known to cause lipoatrophy, but I have read recent articles that indicate PI's are also causative. Is this new data presented by Dr. Daar showing Kaletra (PI) to cause less lipoatrophy than Sustiva (NNRTI) contrary to conclusions from previous studies?

I am a 45 year old male. I have lipodistrophy. I have the buffalo hump skinny legs with roping no buttocks extra fat around my neck and stomach. I have turned from a moderatley nice looking man into a freak of nature. I do not like to go out into public at all. I feel very isolated because of this condition. Anyway I don't know what can be done but I would appreciate any suggestions. thank you
