Effective January 13, Grant Colfax, MD, will depart as director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy (ONAP), the Washington Blade reports. Before his ONAP appointment in 2012, Colfax was the director of the HIV prevention and research section in the San Francisco Department of Public Health AIDS Office. ONAP coordinates the efforts of the government to reduce HIV cases nationwide. No details have been released about his next steps or the process of finding his replacement.
