A $15 billion investment is needed during the next three years to battle HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, according to a new report. Authored by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Cost of Inaction makes the case to world leaders that they must do more to help get these diseases under control from 2014 through 2016. The report argues that if funding for these diseases flatlines, the funding needed for lifetime treatment costs could more than triple, the United Nations News Centre reports.
