Health Canada Warns Against Unlicensed HIV, STI Home Tests
Health Canada, the country’s federal health department, has
warned consumers about an online company selling home testing kits for HIV and
other sexually transmitted infections, The Canadian Press reports.
CuraHerbDistributor is marketing the kits under the brand name Home Aware,
which supposedly test for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, hepatitis B and
C, and herpes simplex. The kits are not authorized for sale in Canada.
