U.K. Hospitals Accused of Asking How Patients Contracted HIV
A local HIV group in Dorset, England, has received complaints about two area hospitals allegedly asking patients how they became HIV positive, BBC News reports. Body Positive Dorset claims that the incidents occurred at Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals. Surgeons and anesthetists supposedly questioned patients how they contracted HIV. Body Positive Dorset also claims patients with HIV would routinely be put at the back of the list for surgeries, often resulting in them missing their surgeries because earlier operations had taken longer than expected.
