The Black AIDS Institute (BAI) has released Deciding Moment: The State of AIDS in Black America 2011, according to a BAI statement. The release coincides with National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Recommendations from the report include: implementing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the National HIV/AIDS Strategy; scaling up health care reform; improving the evidence base to promote health care access; making sure the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention monitors and reports on HIV prevention spending; and mobilizing black communities to support a strong and sustained AIDS response.
