In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, June 27, Franklin Primary Health Center, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama, will offer gift certificates for free gasoline to the first 50 people who get tested, Alabama newspaper the Press-Registerreports (al.com, 6/23).
“The goal for this day is to get people tested, so they will know their status, get into treatment and protect themselves and those they love,” says the center’s HIV Coordinator Tyloria Crenshaw.

"I'm HIV positive and diabetic (as well as have high cholesterol) and some of my meds specify taking them with 'high fat foods' which I have to do twice a day. I've eaten as healthy as possible, but when it comes to high fat foods, I am in a quandary...about what to eat sometimes..."
