Federal Judge Allows Los Angeles County to Audit AHF
A federal judge has allowed a new audit of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) by Los Angeles County to determine if the group overbilled the county for services, Daily News Los Angeles reports. A previous audit found AHF overbilled the county by $1.7 million in fiscal year 2008–2009. The new audit will look into whether such overbilling occurred afterward. AHF was seeking a temporary restraining order because it believed the new audit was a form of harassment by the county in retaliation for AHF criticism of its policies and practices. AHF denies the allegations.
