Former heavyweight boxing champion Tommy Morrison still denies he has HIV and insists he should be allowed to box, The Kansas City Star reports. In 1996, Morrison tested HIV positive during a routine pre-fight blood test, shortly after signing a $40 million contract to fight Mike Tyson. Morrison says that test result was a false positive. He also claims a scientist invented HIV. Morrison refuses to take HIV medication or further HIV tests. He has applied with the Nevada Athletic Commission to continue boxing, but he will not fulfill its requests for additional HIV testing.
